The shipping tradition of Reederei Moje dates back to the 18th century. The company in its current form was founded by Capt. Heinz Moje in 1975 who sailed many years as ordinary seaman up to Captain and studied in addition as industrial engineer.

In 2004 Reederei Moje build up a cooperation with various shipping companies that led to a partnership and the construction of a joint office in Barnkrug Drochtersen. Elbdeich Reederei was founded which successfully  established in the market within a short time. Since 2006 Reederei Moje is managed by Jens Moje. Today’s fleet consists of three Sietas built ships MS „Passat“ and MS „Mistral“.
